Place the breast shield on the breast in the most comfortable position for you, so that the nipple is centered in the breast shield tunnel. The Medela Swing breast pump uses 2-stage pumping technology. Thus, the first phase is stimulation. It lasts a maximum of 2 minutes and starts by clicking on the top engine button (circle shape with a dot at the top). The pump then automatically switches to extraction mode (second phase). If the milk starts to flow before the stimulation phase ends, you must manually switch to expression mode by clicking on the bottom button (down arrow with two drops). Adjust the suction strength with the + and - side buttons.
